First and foremost, thank you for your time in advance.

I am having trouble with the shifter in my 2003 996 C4S manual.  It started with particular difficulty shifting up or down into 3rd.  Now, the difficulty is being experienced in all gears, when moving, though sometimes its easier than other times. Driving conditions are standard, temperature outside is always between 70 and 100.  Engine temperature is always around 180.  Transmission oil was changed at the 90k routine maintenance.  The clutch resistance never deviates, it is standard and, once in gear, I have not experience any slipping.  When in gear, there are no issues.  The difficultly is only when getting "in" and, to a lesser degree, when getting "out."  The shifter is smooth and without issue when the car is still.

Any thoughts?  I have a dread that its the syncros in the transmission though everything checked out at the 90k.

Thank you.
