Sliver in oil filter

Engine

Model: 911 C2, Year:2003, Mileage:38,000, Type of use:Street use only
During my last oil change (approximately 1,000 miles ago) I took apart the the oil filter insert to inspect it. I found 1 smallish (small grain of rice size) silver sliver in the insert. I was planning on monitoring this during my next oil change but thought I would get your opinion to determine if this is cause for more immediate concern. If this amount is "normal", when would it become a concern? I normally change the oil once a year at ~3,500 miles. During the oil change I installed a new magnetic drain plug to assist in future monitoring
