Solar Panel Trickle Charger

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Year: 95 and 97; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 17K;

Thanks for your earlier response about a solar panel to provide a trickle charger to my battery when car is stored away for electrical power.Downside is that would not work for me as my unattached garage has absolutely no direct sunlight, it is all filter light. For battery solar panel to work (according to manufacturers) it needs at least one or two hours of direct sunlight not filtered under very mature trees that my new unattached garage is under. So, brings me back to what occurs when a battery removed for one or two months with OBD1 and OBD2 computers. Do I need to have the computer reset when the battery is reinstalled ? Maybe what I will do is just have someone run a long 100' cord once a month to the detached garage area and recharge the battery ? Appreciate any further thoughts as I suspect this is a pretty rare question.
