spark plug installation

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1989; Body Type: Convertible; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 50k;

This is more of a statment and a "heads up." I did the spark plug change - removed the air filter box, and the plastic heater connector on the left side and had good access. The plugs came out reasonable easy with the Porsche tool kit plug remover --- but, when I was reinstalling the plug connectors I couldn't get that "snap" - at the time I thought I had the "snap" but I didn't. The car ran terribly. I then convinced myself that I was going to get the "feel" and not give up until I had six "snaps!" It took me about an hour and a half, but I finally got six positive "snaps." Happy days are here again - Bosch WR7DP's and revs right to redline smoothly and quickly.Tip - Don't leave the job until you have six positive "snaps" - and, you will know when you hear it - not a "click" - a "snap!"
