Speedometer bounce

Vehicle Information: Model: 911S; Year: 1967; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0L; Total Mileage: 143k;

Several years ago I replaced the speedometer cable and gear because of eratic needle bounce in the speedomeeter of my '67 911S. It sort of cured it but not completely. Now it has gotten worse at low speed (15-40 mph). It happened all of a sudden. Now what? Also, I'm planning to ship the car to Motor Meister for a complete engine and transmission rebuild in the fall. What are your thoughts on that outfit?
