spring plate bushing

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 965; Year: 1991; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.3 turbo; Total Mileage: 54,000;

When I downshift hard the car slightly shifts forward on the passenger side. It is a very slight movement but I decided to jack the car up to inspect the rear suspension. It appears that the bushing for the spring plate is worn and split. Could this be the problem? Do you know if just the bushing could be replaced and not the entire spring plate? I have shopped for prices and the spring plate is very expensive $650 to $850.
