Chris Been driving my car on an almost daily basis for the entire summer and make about four 700 mile trips during the summer from Chicago to Detroit. Here is my problem on a typical day. When I arrive at my destination I turn off the car. When I return to car some times for a short period of time ie. 20 mins I turn the key in the ignition and nothing happens. The car will not start for some reason. Everything else works with the key in, the lights the gauges, the horn but the car will not start. There is no noise and no aborted starts.... just silence. The only way the car will start is if I leave it alone for an hour or so it starts right up. So I can drive to the golf course , play 18 holes and the car will start. But if I drive to the grocery store 2 miles away the car will not start. Is it the alarm system? (OE)Help. Had my mechanic keep it for 3 days and drive it around. Of course it started every time. Can you solve this mystery?
