Starting after winter storage

Engine

Model: 996, Year:2002, Mileage:35,000, Type of use:Street use only
Hello Joel,I cant seem to find any reference to my question in the archives. My 2002 996 has been sitting under a nice warm cover with a battery tender plugged in since last fall. I am about to take it out of storage. I would like to be able to turn the motor over a few times to pump some oil around before actually firing the engine. Is there a simple way to do this? In the old days I could just remove the coil wire and turn the engine over.. Also I am planning on an IMS retrofit at clutch change time. Until then I have been using oil sampling and now read about the IMS Defender (the electro magnetic fault detection system). Is this adequate protection until clutch change out or should I just bite the bullet and have it done at this time? Thanks again for all your hard work on behalf of us club members.
