Thank you for your response to my 1990 928S4 heavy steering question back in October. A new question please: I believe my 1990 S4 has the 75 bar power steering pump, whereas I'm told the 1991-95 928's/GTS's have a 100 bar pump, and different reduced-friction seals in the power steering rack. Can I replace my 75 bar pump with a later 100 bar pump and still use the existing rack without blowing the seals because of the higher pressure pump? Also has anybody done this, and was there a noticeable reduction in steering effort at low speed with a 100 bar pump on a pre-1991 car? I'd hate to spend $200 for a new 100 bar pump and find the reduction in steering effort is marginal. Thank you in advance. John Doak in Baltimore, MD 410 825-0108 Johnhuntd@Comcast.net
