stripped threads in trailing arm

Suspension

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T ; Year: 1973; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.7 RS Spec; Total Mileage: 218000;

I got my hands on a set of aluminum traling arms but as I was cleaning them I found the threads for the shock bolts are stripped. One side is worse then the other but both are in need of repair. There apears to be good threads about an inch or os deep but the first inch of threads are no good. Is there a repair for this? My first thought was a time-sert repair like for the case studs. Any thoughts?Thanks, Greg
