tire failure

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: '03; Total Mileage: 1295;

I purchased my '03 Boxster new on 10/17/03. With only 1027 miles on the odometer, the rear passenger tire blew out on the interstate at about 80 mph. The tire was completely gone with only a small portion of the sidewall left on the rim. I felt nothing until just before the tire blew off the rim. The tire was a Michelin Pilot Sport 255/40 ZR17.My Porsche dealership said it was due to either a road hazard or combination of road hazard and running on low or no air. Consequently there was no warranty coverage. It cost $466 to replace and mount a new tire.Do I have any legitimate warranty claim against Porsche or Michelin?
