Tires, N Rating - does it matter?

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 17250;

I'm up for new tires, having done 17K on the orginals (Pirelli P Zero's Asimmetrico's 225/40R-18 front and 265/35R-18 Rear tires on Turbo twist (look) wheels)The current recomendation from a Porsche specialist is to go with Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position on the basis that they great in wet and dry conditions (I live in Seattle). However they are not N rated (they are Y rated?)My question - does it matter? I don't intend to go to the track, the C4 is purley used for street. I did pick up the Porsche Tires flyer when I had my car recently serviced at my official Porsche centre - what caught my attention was the following wording "Using tires that are not N-specific or mixing them with other N-specification tires is not permissible"Thanks for your advice.
