Torsion Bars and Tunnel

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1986; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2; Total Mileage: 153000;

I heard a pop sound yesterday leaving my driveway. After returning from a trip to the store i noticed the rear of the car was sitting low on both sides. The ride did not feel alot different. How do you check if the torsion bars are broken or if the tunnel is broken? I cant beleve that both torsion bars would break at the same time. What else could cause both sides of the car to sit down. Both tires are up in the fender well. I wouldn't think a 1986 car with no signs of rust would break the tunnel. If the tunnel is broke, how do you fix?
