transmission / clutch

Vehicle Information: Year: 1987; Engine (Size, Modifications): 3.3 turbo; Total Mileage: 37000 miles;

When I am taking off in 1st gear and initially letting off the clutch , (particularly on a slight grade) I get a slight moan or growl from the transm/clutch. The same noise is present if I downshift into 2nd without blipping throttle, to match revs. I can control both by keeping rpm up when taking off in 1st or down shifting. Is this a characteristic of this transmission? If not what may be causing it ? Approx cost to repair? Would changing oil help (still the original) What oil would you recommmend if should be changed? Otherwise runs great! Thanks for your Input. ps; Noise has been in vehicle for years but appearsto be getting more prevalent.
