Transmission / Pressure Plate Upgrade

Vehicle Information: Year: 1984 WIDE BODY; Engine (Size, Modifications): 1987 3.3 TURBO CONVERSION, ONE STAGE BOOST, OVERSIZE INTERCOOLER; Total Mileage: CHASSIC 100,000 ENGINE 17,000;

I have a 1984 911 with a 1987 930 turbo motor that is heavily modified. I am still using the original 915 transmssion. What is the maximum amount of horsepower and torque that these 915 gearboxes can handle?I am also having problems with my clutch slipping when the motor comes onto boost. My mechanic says that it would be alright to replace only the pressure plate and not the disc. Is this a viable option?
