Transmission supplier

Transmission

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne S; Year: 2004; Mileage: new;

Looking over the source materials for the Porsche Cayenne, I was supplied to see that Porsche chose to use a part supplied by Aisin Seiki Co., LTD in Japan. I am considering the purchase of a Cayenne S in the near future but was wondering if their choice of supplier for transmission along with the usual build idiosyncrasies of Japanese companies means that problems can be expected with extended usage of the vehicle-say 100,000 mile plus. Should I wait for a german sourced 6 speed transmission-figuring more durability and better gas mileage? I also wonder why Porsche would outsource such an important part. If it is of unquestionable quality than no problem.
