Trickle Charge - Vents

Vehicle Information: Year: 1987; Engine (size, modifications): 5.0L 316 HP; Total Mileage: 83000; Transmission type: Autotomatic;

I am putting the Porsche away for the winter. Part of my winterizing includes placing a trickle-charger on the battery. I chose the Porsche Charge-O-Mat (I). One end is in the cigarette lighter. As soon as I plug the other end into the wall socket, the cooling vents in front of the radiator reposition at regular intervals, several times each minute.I do not want to wear out the servo motors on the vents as I let the battery charge over several hours or days. Is there an easy solution? NOTE: the climate control inside the car is off, as is the fan.
