tune up basics

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1974; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 160K;

just purchased the OLD 911, and trying to do some research for "when" a tune up is required. car runs great now.(1)Santa brought a tune up dvd that "says" the fuel air mixture can be adjusted by using a VOM attached to the oxygen censer. the audio says adjust the 3mm screw to 7 "tenths", but the picture shows .07 (hundreths),,, so which is it?,, or is this adjustment even valid, and should it be taken to someone who has a C/O meter?or more importantly how would I know if a fuel air adjustment is required?.2) what octane fuel would you recommend?3) point gap, plug gap, valve gap, and dwell?4) should the vacume line be attached to the dist when setting the timing? I've read both yes and no?5) anything else i need to know or do? (other that what is mentioned,, and of course fuel,air and oil filters)?Sorry to ask so many question,,, and I promise to have some real challenges for you in the future.thanks,,marion,,,
