Unattached and attached garage for Winter storage

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 97; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 14,000;

Hello John, Learned much with all your A's to our PCA Q's, and your workshops. Thanks much for sharing your experience, knowledge and dedication! I am very familiar with how to properly prepare my cars for winter storage, plus how to concours and preserve Porsche's including the quality products available. Being an enthausiast, or fanatic by many, my winter storage questions are a bit different.Scenerio: When my concours 993 is stored for 3 or 4 months during winter. Question relates to in an UNattached garage where winter temps consistently get before freezing - compared to an attached garage in which temps rarely get below freezing during the NE winter months.1) Is it better for the cars rubber seals, vinyl, leather to be in an ATTACHED non-heated garage with generally above freezing temps ?2) Does it matter much if stored in UNattached garage with nearly constant sub freezing temps ?2a) If attached is better, is the difference minimal or signficant for permature mechanical repairs ? These questions are most specifically for the rubber seals in the internal mechanicals, engine, trans, A/C, and the external vinyl, leather in the car. BTW, think humidity levels are about the same in unattached and attached garages.Of course before storing, I treat external interior and exterior properly, but again more concerned with internal rubber seals in the mechanicals that cannot be treated. Lastly, I normally keep cars many years, and try to drive at least them for one hour every two months if there is no salt during winter. Thanks again. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
