Warm engine will not start

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1975; Engine (type, size, modifications): Stock 2L 4 cylinder; Total Mileage: 65,000;

My 75 2L, 914 is stock, including fi, except for the Ignitor Electronic Ignition I installed. The car always starts cold and restarts hot if you try within 10 to 20 minutes of shutting off the engine. But after 45 minutes it will not start. The engine turns over but will not start. It acts like vapor lock. When it cools down (after several more hours) it starts right up. I have replaced the fuel pump, located in the front trunk, and the fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires and coil. There is spark at the distributor. I think it is a fuel problem because the last time it happened I sprayed starting fluid in the air intake and it started. Do you have any idea what could ve causing this?
