warm running/starting problem

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T Sportomatic; Year: 1969; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0; Total Mileage: 94000;

Ed,When the engine is cold car drivers ok and starts ok. When warm (temp gauge 1/3 no actual numerical read out)and have been driving say 20 minutes (freeway) there seems to be a lack in response to hard accelleration in the 3000 to 4000 rpm range (just does not want to pony up). When it's running like this and I come to a stop it will ideal about 300rpm higher then when it is just so so warm. Also, when it's is warm and I shut off the engine it is very difficult to restart but usually does after many different attempts and usually with the throttle full open. Are the problems likely associated? Any ideas (heads-up) before it's back to the shop?PSLast time you advised me on your thoughts for putting a manual in the car or rebuilding the sporto.....well, just got it back...10 weeks in the shop waiting for parts. 30hrs and $5K later, it is a pleasure to drive a properly working sporto again.... Now, for only fixing the problems I mentioned above... and if I could get AC in her I be in high heaven!thanks in advance,howard
