what cams to chosse

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T; Year: 1970; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.2 6cly 9.8 to 1JE coated pistons weber carbs 40ida's; Total Mileage: 34 miles on rebuild;

I was talking to PMO about the setup for my carbs, and they suggested changing my T cams out for different cams. I was unable to get their suggestion for what cams to use. The reason I stayed with the T cams was for the low end power. They said with the 9.8 to 1 pistons even with the oil updates and carrera chain update, there isn't enough overlap and that detonation could be a problem. I'm tring to figure out where to go from here. I thought there would be valve clearance problems with the new pistons. PMO said the valve pockets on JE pistons would accommodate most cam setups. The crank is stock. They also said that my headers (that are larger than 1 1/2 O.D)are too big. What do you think?
