Wheel spacers for 996TT

Wheels and Tires

Hi Joel, long time no talk. Hope all is well with you.

My stock rear tires on my 2002 996TT have rubbed holes in the rear fender liners , I guess due to lowering the car 1 1/2"" with Pss9s. I am having a blast DEing the car and just bought Motons and am planning to get R compound tires that will be wider than stock, 315/30/18 instead of 295/30/18,  plus I'd like to lower the car a little more. I think I need spacers to eliminate the rubbing in the rear and to accomadate the wider tires. My questions are what size would be correct for the larger tires? Is there any problem running spacers on the track with the longer bolts that are available? Also, how low can a 996TT be lowered before there will be bump steer problems?  Thanks much for your service to the club.
