Which Clutch disc is recomended for general driving

Transmission

Vehicle Information: Model: 356C; Year: 1964; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1600; Total Mileage: 42K;

My 356C needed a new clutch disc so I removed the OE clutch disc and bought an aftermarket Sachs clutch disc. Before I installed the new disc I would like your opinion about the new disc I bought. The OE disc has some inner circle springs. What is the purpose of those springs? Some shops told me that those springs sometimes fell-out and created problems, so they recommended the disc without springs which I have purchased. How different is shifting up and down if I install the non-spring disc as compared to the OE spring disc? I am just trying to eliminate future problems as much as possible.
